Tippecanoe County Democrats Welcome You
Voters Like What They See in Ellsworth Ads
Submitted by Webmaster on Sun, 08/29/2010 - 8:35am.Washington Post political analyst Chris Cillizza reports that, although Dan Coats is currently leading Brad Ellsworth in the race for Evan Bayh's Senate seat, voters tend to gravitate to the Democrat as they get to know him and his positions. For example, Cillizza notes that the 10-year Senator leads the 8th District representative 81 to 56 percent in statewide name recognition, but among those who have seen Ellsworth's ads the two are in a statistical dead heat. Ellsworth seems to have the financial resources to match his opponent's efforts; at the end of June the Ellsworth campaign had slightly more cash on hand than the Republican. You can read Cillizza's analysis of the race here.
